Started by an interior designer.
New Classics was started in 1989 by Sara Zook when her client in Boulder, Colorado wanted a highly custom vanity for her master bedroom. After searching in vain to find a craftsman skilled enough to create the piece, Sara decided to start her own business to answer the need.
Sara’s first design for New Classics was the iconic C-Leg dining table
and was introduced to the market at Holly Hunt’s Chicago showroom.
Now, years later, the C-Leg remains one our most successful and loved designs.
Our “standard” colors — Indigo, Burnt, Cerulean and Emerald,
to name a few — are certainly beautiful.
If, however, you don’t see the perfect hue for your client’s project, we can color collaborate
with your fabrics or wallcoverings. Just send us a swatch with your order
and we’ll create a new color for you.
